Hi, I’m Olivia. I enjoy long walks across the Arctic, itchy wool sweaters, shoveling snow, penguins, and the immobility we experience beneath several layers of winter garments. Okay, that’s all a lie. Well, except the part about the penguins. I think penguins are cute.
Honestly, I believe I suffer from a debilitating illness commonly referred to as Seasonal Affective Disorder. Kindly wake me when spring rolls around so that I can order a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee and savor the chilled deliciousness while happily hugging random strangers in a manic appreciation of springtime bliss.
Until then, I will be researching the costs of moving to sunny Florida.

I’m just the opposite. I thrive during the fall and winter and then go into a reverse hibernation in the summer months. I do agree that the baby penguin is adorable! 🙂

That’s too funny. We should switch! I’m glad you enjoyed the penguin 🙂

I understand where you are coming from here. This is my first autumn/winter in the US and I seem to be wearing more layers than all the locals but it’s sooooo cold! Bring on spring!

I love the winter months! Everything feels so lively and beautiful. But then again I live in California so it never gets too cold here. Stay cozy!

Currently working on buying a house to move from frigid Buffalo NY to Florida…yeah baby!’!! Tired of cold…why do I have to live where my face hurts??

Exactly! Did you make this decision AFTER the latest storm you received in Buffalo? I was watching the news and couldn’t believe the amount of snow. Yikes!

No, after our umpteenth vacation down there…have lived in NY almost my whole life, time for sun as I grow older☀️yes that snow was brutal but it did give me 4 days off from work which I must say was awesome.

I’ve lived in Florida for 6 months and I can tell you this is an excellent idea! Just give me an hour to pack some things and I’ll come with you. It’s so cold here in Holland!

Oh man, am I ever with you! Moving to Ohio wasn’t the state I was expecting to move if we left Arizona. Well you know the saying, “Man plans, God laughs.” (We were Florida residents before we lived in AZ. You have such a cute blog I couldn’t help but follow to discover what you will write next! And thanks for following mine. Blessings,

Oh boy. I can imagine that Ohio was quite the change! Actually, I recently visited Ohio (Cleveland) a few months ago. Now, granted I was right near the water of Lake Erie, but it was COLD. I’m happy that you can relate. 🙂 I am so happy to be following. Cheers!

I agree with you 100%. I will take excessive heat any day instead of the cold of winter. But I’ve been working on trying to embrace it this year – instead of hunching up my shoulders against the cold wind, I let it blow right in my face and pretend to like it. Sometimes that works!

I give you credit! I suppose I will try my best as well 🙂

I am really enjoying fall this year. This is the first time I have felt like this since living in cold climes. I hope your wish for moving to FL comes along sooner than later.
