When we first met, Brian confided in me that he would be traveling for fourth year rotations. At the time, he really believed that I would be deterred by the possibility of some intermittent distance between us. If you know me, you know that didn’t change anything. It would never change anything. Because when you love someone, it doesn’t matter how far the distance – you go. Because when they leave, a piece of your heart goes with them. That is why, within the past twelve months, I have visited Brian in every state to which his schooling has taken him. Well, except Oklahoma.
